How I Get All Achievements in Tenebris Somnia
Tenebris Somnia has a total of 14 missable achievements. I list the achievements by category and in the order you can start working towards them or unlock them.
Story Related
Devora
Find all 3 film canisters.
I collect all 3 film canisters to unlock this achievement.
Have You Chosen… Wisely?
Fill the silver bottle by removing 3 save points.
I remove 3 save points to fill the silver bottle and unlock this achievement.
De Relictis
Read all the pages of the old book.
I make sure to read every page of the old book before the game ends. Devora and Have You Chosen… Wisely? are required, but I can finish the game without reading the book, so I make sure not to miss this achievement.
Sidetrack
Maybe He’s In The Bathroom
Knock on Iván’s door 10 times.
MISSABLE
At the very beginning of the game, I use my apartment keys to enter Ivan’s apartment. Before doing that, I interact with the closed door 10 times to unlock the achievement.
Thinking About Him, huh?
Look at Ivan’s picture 5 times.
MISSABLE
The first time I reach the Floor 2 apartment, I go to the room next to the TV, where I find the computers and revolver. I interact with Ivan’s picture 5 times to unlock the achievement.
One More For The Road
Drink Lavendoleum while having full health.
I make sure my health is full before drinking Lavendoleum to unlock the achievement.
Classics Never Die
Pick up the iron pipe.
MISSABLE
I find the screwdriver on top of a box on the stairs in the area where I watch the film reels. I use it to obtain the iron pipe in the bathroom.
Stella Plena
Open all star lockers.
MISSABLE
POINT OF NO RETURN: Sanguis boss fight.
I collect all 6 Copper Stars and use them to open all 6 Star Lockers before reaching the Sanguis boss fight. Some of the stars and lockers are well hidden, so I make sure to collect them all before progressing.
Bad Puppy
Make Sanguis break all the mannequins.
MISSABLE
During the Sanguis boss fight, I bait the boss into attacking the standing mannequins so it breaks them all. I make sure not to kill the boss before breaking every mannequin.
You Can Stop Now
Keep going down the endless corridor.
MISSABLE
Near the end of the game, I reach the puzzle with the infinite green corridor. I keep going left until I unlock the achievement.
Heart of Lead
Kill all Relicta ghosts.
MISSABLE
Near the end of the game, when going for Ending #2, I kill all Relicta ghosts on every floor, not just the ones on the way to Séptimo Arte.
Note: The achievement can be tricky to register. I avoid killing multiple ghosts at once and wait for the gold particles to disappear after each kill.
Combat
Wrench Queen
Complete the game using only the wrench.
MISSABLE
I complete the game without using any weapons other than the wrench. I avoid shooting, attacking, or aiming with other weapons throughout the run.
He Just Wanted a Hug
Escape from a Vorax to another room before it explodes.
I shoot a Vorax until it turns red and starts running towards me. I then move into another room and wait for the explosion before returning. I can use a gun for this achievement and reload a previous save afterward if I am also going for Wrench Queen.
The Two Stooges
Kill two or more enemies at once (not Carnitos).
I find this achievement easy to get in the hallways outside the elevators. If I find only one enemy, I leave it alive and wait for more enemies to appear. I then group them together and kill at least two at once using the shotgun or wrench.
Iron and Wax
Defeat Obscuratus using only the wrench.
MISSABLE
I find Obscuratus in the room full of candles, which I enter through the window. I defeat the boss using only the wrench.
I can combine this achievement with Wrench Queen.
Exhaust Pipe
Defeat Fumus using only the pipe.
MISSABLE
I find Fumus after using the animal skull key item. I defeat the boss using only the iron pipe obtained from the bar’s bathroom.
Note: This invalidates Wrench Queen if I use the pipe during the same run, so I reload a previous save if I am going for both achievements.
Valiant Little Taylor
Kill three Carnitos with one hit.
MISSABLE
I reach the Carnitos boss after using the Chisel. During the fight, enemies spawn that die in one hit from any weapon. I group three of them together and kill them with a single hit.
Butcheress
Defeat the Carnitos without getting hit.
MISSABLE
I reach the Carnitos boss after using the Chisel. I use the bottom-right corner as a blind spot to make the fight easier. I can shoot from there or, if I am going for Wrench Queen, move out far enough for the enemies to chase me and time my wrench hits carefully.
Acrophobia
Die by being dropped by Lacuna.
MISSABLE
I encounter Lacuna when going for Ending #1. During Phase 1, she screams, jumps, and lands as part of an attack. I stay still during this attack to get grabbed and killed, unlocking the achievement.
Devoured
Get eaten by Hermes.
MISSABLE
I encounter Hermes when going for Ending #2. During Phase 2, I approach the mouth and stay close to it until I get eaten and unlock the achievement.
Endings
SOLVE ET COAGULA
Get Ending #1.
After obtaining the Aurifer (yellow knife), I avoid killing any Relicta and enter the Séptimo Arte Theatre/Gallery.
I save as soon as possible so I can try for the other ending afterward.
MAGNUM OPUS
Get Ending #2.
After obtaining the Aurifer (yellow knife), I kill a lot of Relicta and enter the Séptimo Arte Theatre/Gallery.
I combine this ending with Heart of Lead by killing all the Relicta ghosts throughout the floors before entering the gallery.
I save as soon as possible so I can try the other ending afterward.
VIVUS EX MORTIBUS
Get Ending #3.
After getting Ending #1 and Ending #2, I start a new run and pick up the book on the table. I progress through the game and complete alternate puzzle solutions before finishing their normal versions.
With the Bible obtained, I complete the following steps:
- I go to the Floor 2 apartment and use the Bible on the TV with static. I follow the instructions: step on the Male/Mars symbol and hit every symbol counterclockwise 6 times. I then pick up the red cross.
- I visit the Community Center, where I watch the film reels and obtain their items. Instead of entering the normal combination, I use the Bible and enter the combination shown in the cutscene.
- I go to Floor 0 and obtain the yellow cable. I then enter the green door and use the Bible inside the room. I insert the cable and cycle through the camera 6 times.
After using the Bible in each location, I obtain an inverted red cross. I take the crosses to the street outside Septimo Arte and place them in the designated spot. I then enter the door and continue to get the ending.
RENUNTIATIO
Get Ending #4.
After getting Ending #1 and Ending #2, I start a new run. I immediately turn around and use the keys to leave the apartment complex.
