IGTAP: Quam Formidolosum Achievement Guide

By Editorial / September 25, 2026 / Achievement / 5 minutes of reading

IGTAP is an incremental game where I progress through the facility, unlock upgrades, complete courses, and gain new abilities. In this guide, I cover the Quam Formidolosum achievement and the route I use to reach the end screen during a Vman run.

Quam Formidolosum Achievement Guide

Quam Formidolosum requires me to reach the screen showing that I have beaten the game during a Vman run. This guide covers the upgrades I need beforehand, the movement tech I use, and the route I take to reach the end of the game.

IGTAP an Incremental Game: Late Game Guide

How to Unlock Quam Formidolosum

For the achievement itself, I need to reach the screen showing that I beat the game. I find this at the teleporter hub, near where the Red Power upgrades begin.

I need to reach this area during a Vman run. I cannot get the achievement in practice mode.

Vman Mechanics

This route takes advantage of how currency works inside Vman courses. When I complete a course, I infinitely purchase any upgrades from that tier.

For example, after completing Course 1, I buy all of the Tier 1 upgrades found next to the course. This also applies to buttons from lower tiers. After completing Course 5, I buy all of the buttons that Courses 1-4 would normally unlock.

I use this mechanic to skip certain courses and save time.

Movement Tech

I also need to be comfortable with the movement tech used with the Omni-Dash. The main techniques I need for this run are Wavedash, Floor Bounce, and Wall-Wavedash.

For Wavedash, I dash diagonally into the floor and then jump. For Floor Bounce, I dash directly into the floor and then jump. For Wall-Wavedash, I dash diagonally upward into a wall and then jump.

These techniques are important for reaching and completing Course 10.

Things I Need Before Starting

Time

The amount of time I need will depend on how well I handle the movement. If I am very comfortable with the mechanics, around 330 seconds can be enough. For an average attempt, I recommend roughly 380 seconds. If I struggle with the movement, 400+ seconds is safer.

If I need more time, I make sure to collect the +120 seconds upgrade found toward the top right of the facility, in the area where the credits are shown.

Omni-Directional Dash

I also need the upgrade that lets me start every Vman run with an omni-directional dash. I will likely already have this upgrade, but it is required for the route.

Route

Once I have enough time and the starting dash upgrade, I begin the run.

Starting Route

I start by going to Course 1 and grabbing the wall jump. I then continue to Course 2 and purchase the additional dash.

From there, I go to Course 3 and purchase the +1 midair jump.

This is where I stop following the normal route. I go all the way to the left and make my way to Course 5, which is located to the left of spawn.

After completing Course 5, I do not need to purchase any upgrades. I make my way up toward Course 4 instead.

When I reach Course 4, I do not enter the course. I purchase the left-most upgrade that switches the block colors twice.

Foliage Area

The block color upgrades let me enter the foliage area. I drop down and continue through it until I reach the Atom area.

I purchase an Atom to unlock the door and then buy my first upgrade from the upgrade tree.

I continue over to Course 6 and complete it. After that, I purchase the upgrades on the left side of the upgrade tree until I access Course 7.

Once Course 7 is complete, I start buying upgrades that generally lead upward and to the right. I continue until I unlock the large L-shaped grass platform that leads toward Course 10.

I then use Wavedash to get across to Course 10 without using the zip movers.

Course 10

I start Course 10 by using a Wall-Wavedash on the first zip mover to get past the first set of spikes.

At the bottom, I move to the right-most platform and Wavedash off it. I then use my remaining dashes and midair jump to reach the first available wall.

I use a Wall Bounce from the vertical zip mover to get back up. At the top, I use my dashes and jump carefully until I reach the zip mover and refresh them.

Once I reach this point, I finish the rest of Course 10 normally.

Reaching the End Screen

After completing Course 10, I Wavedash back across the gap toward the upgrade tree.

I purchase the “Activate zip movers” upgrade and continue buying upgrades until I unlock Omni-Directional Dash. This opens a path through the roof that I use to continue.

At the next upgrade tree, I buy enough upgrades toward the left until I reach the first Red Power cost upgrade.

From there, I jump to the left and reach the screen showing that I have beaten the game. This gives me the Quam Formidolosum achievement.

Addendum

This is not the fastest way I have found to complete Quam Formidolosum. After experimenting with the route, the best route I have found for minimizing the number of courses is:

1 -> 5 -> 7 -> 10

This saves a lot of time. With a basic run using this route, I was able to get around ~240 seconds.

I can modify the route depending on how much time I need. The more courses I skip, however, the more mechanical skill I need to complete the run.
