In this Grain Rot Guide, I explain 10 tips for beginners I use to improve the power of my weapon and damage rate. I always prefer collecting coins during elevator run and try to keep high XP items to my base. Pressure plates are also helpful and let me block the passageway of enemies. I usually invest in repairing my club instead of purchasing a new one because it costs me a lot.
10 Quick Tips for Beginners
These tips help me throughout the game. I start with investing in the training hall and it helps me increase the damage and make the weapon powerful.
1. Invest in the Training Hall
I invest in the Training Hall to increase my DMG, which increases my weapon’s effectiveness and lets me use less durability to kill.
2. Gather Coins for the Elevator
I always gather the required coins to run the elevator and cash in as soon as possible, then make the real money.
Having the elevator ready to run in an emergency can sometimes be life-saving when enemies are chasing me to the elevator.
For example, if I have to cash in 60 coins, I need 12 inserts to do so. This can be difficult when enemies are hitting my back, especially when I also have to wait for the elevator to extract me after pressing the red button.
3. Bring High-XP Items to My Base
I can bring high-XP items to my base when I bring them to the elevator and extract.
4. Use Pressure Plates
I can use pressure plates, or jump pads, to block entrances for enemies by placing one before the entrance to a room.
5. Repair and Improve My Club
Repairing or improving my club is cheaper than buying a new one.
I can save the weapon just before it breaks and return it to 100% when I repair it on the second floor of my base, if I have already unlocked it.
6. Use Repairing Glue
I can use Repairing Glue to heal myself, my friends, or damaged valuables.
7. Use Repairing Glue to Travel Outside
I can use Repairing Glue to travel outside of my base when I don’t have an umbrella.
8. Free Umbrella
I can find a free umbrella waiting for me on the second floor of my base, on the balcony.
9. Use the Grinder Often
I use the grinder often. Yes, it makes noise, but it saves my valuables from potential explosions.
I can also use it to bait enemies toward the grinder, so I can safely traverse the rest of the map for a moment.
10. Keep Reserve Mallets in the Elevator
I keep a reserve of free mallets in the elevator. Sometimes one is not enough, and having my inventory full of mallets is not efficient.
I can use the elevator as my weapon and tool stash. I simply put some mallets in the elevator before descending, and they will be there after I descend.
