Onimusha Way of the Sword Achievement Guide

Onimusha Way of the Sword Achievement Guide

By Editorial / September 5, 2026 / Achievement / 10 minutes of reading

I cover all 52 achievements in the game, including story, boss, missions, collections, combat, upgrades, difficulty, and Strong Enemy Rematch achievements. I also include a complete roadmap to help me reach 100% completion with a minimum of two playthroughs.

None of the achievements are permanently missable, so I play through the game without worrying about missing anything.

Onimusha Achievement Guide – All Achievements

There are 52 achievements in total.

  • Estimated time: 40–70 hours
  • Minimum playthroughs: 2
  • First playthrough difficulty requirement: None
  • Highest difficulty requirement: Oni Slayer
  • Missable achievements: No

I play through the game without worrying about permanently missing achievements.

Difficulty Modes

The game has three difficulty modes:

Casual Mode: Operation prompts are enabled by default. The timing windows for parrying and Issen are more lenient, and enemies deal less damage.

Swordplay Mode: This mode is intended for players looking for more of a challenge. Button prompts are removed for a more authentic hardcore combat experience.

Oni Slayer Mode: I cannot select this difficulty during my first playthrough. It becomes available in New Game+ after I complete the game once. Enemy attack power and configurations are significantly increased, making dodging, parrying, and Issen much more difficult.

Completing the game on Oni Slayer unlocks The True Onimusha.

For my first playthrough, I choose Casual Mode or Swordplay Mode based on my experience with action games and the series.
