I play the game with my friend and recently complete the Bean Achievement. In this How to Fish Bean Guide, I show how we complete everything for an experience of 2 people. I’m not sure why this method works with solo, but it is working here. I suggest you to read my guide given below to see and find out how to unlock Bean Achievement solo.
Bean Achievement (Duo)
First Island
We start by farming up to $46, which is enough for one knife and some hot dog bait to increase the overall money we get from each fish.
Then we farm up to $57 for the second knife and the beer can needed to start the boss fight.
For both players, just knife the crab using the same strategy mentioned above. Once you arrive at Volcano Island, sell both knives.
Volcano Island
Once we arrive, buy dynamite. It gives a huge ROI when you blow up the 4–5 fish nearby. Just don’t forget to cook the fish afterward for the 1.5x value.
Keep doing this until you have around $150, which should be enough for guns for both players, plus a rod and PROFESSIONAL lure.
One player uses the lure and flings it toward the other player. Try to get a decent multiplier when shooting the fish. Even jumpshots and noscopes work great here.
Repeat this until you can afford the SCIENTIFIC lure ($500). This should only take around one or two fish.
Same process as before. Fling the lure toward each other and both players shoot the fish. Try to get a good multiplier to save some time.
From here, keep stocking up on Scientific lures. I like to keep at least 2 on the fisher just to be safe. The other player should continuously upgrade their pistol and damage until they’re doing around 100 damage per shot. A compensator also helps a lot here.
During this farming section, eventually the fisher won’t even need to help the upgraded pistol player. Just keep cooking the fish in the lava before selling them so you get the maximum value.
Keep doing this loop until you can afford ONE assault rifle.
The player with the upgraded pistol then gives that pistol to the fisher while they upgrade to an assault rifle.
From here, it’s basically the same process again. Upgrade the main AR, keep at least 2 Scientific lures on hand for safety, and make sure you get the laser and suppressor for the AR.
Keep farming until both players are using a maxed-out or near-maxed-out AR with the right attachments.
Once you’re fully geared up, grab some dynamite and use the fish from it to get the bait needed from the scientist to start the boss/mutated fight. They’re basically the same thing anyway.
Small Aside: Red Island Strategy
We’ve tried sailing over to the red blip island with the roofed casino, but for some reason this stopped working in our later runs. Even having the mutated boss follow directly behind us didn’t seem to work anymore.
So now we just take the fight on Volcano Island.
For both boss variations, we stayed pretty far apart from each other. One player can use the army tent as great cover while the other stands on the opposite side of the shore.
Also, hip-firing with the suppressor and laser is amazing DPS here.
