This is my guide to completing STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT. I cover all endings, achievements, email choices, CG achievements, and the additional collectibles that I need for 100% completion.
If I only want to experience the story, the main ending route is fairly straightforward. From Chapter 6 through Chapter 9, I get several choices where I either do nothing to reach one of the character endings or send a D-Mail to continue to the next chapter. Reaching the final chapter normally gives me Mayuri’s ending. To reach Kurisu’s ending and the True Ending, I need to answer Kurisu’s emails correctly throughout the story.
For 100% completion, I first go through the four character endings and pick up the easier achievements along the way. After that, I return to the required chapters to get Kurisu’s ending, the True Ending, and the remaining achievements.
Prologue
I simply finish the prologue to get the “Prologue of the Beginning and the End” achievement.
Chapter 1
At the start of Chapter 1, I use Okabe’s phone to pick up a few easy achievements.
- “Memories of the Self” – I view sent emails.
- “Memories of Another” – I view received emails.
- “Vision Projection” – I open the phone settings and change the wallpaper.
- “First Sound” – I open the phone settings and change the call ringtone.
I continue through the chapter normally. When I reach the PhoneWave timer, I intentionally enter the wrong number ten times to get the “Homerun-level Clumsiness” achievement. After getting it, I enter 120# to continue.
When Mayuri sends me an email titled “Upa…”, I reply with “Upa.” This gives me the “Resonant Reaction” achievement. When Mayuri replies, I open the attachment to get the “RaiNet’s Mascot” achievement.
Later, Faris sends me an email titled “The decisive battle is close at hand nya.” I reply with “Red Southern Cross,” then open the attachment in her reply. This starts the progress toward the “Princesses of Chaos” achievement. I need another email later to finish it.
Chapter 2
Lukako sends me an email titled “I made sweets.” I reply to this email chain with the following choices to get the “Cruel Sister” achievement.
- “Family” – I reply to “I made sweets.”
- “My sister” – I reply to “About my family members.”
The “About my family members” email only appears if I picked up Mayuri’s call on 8/01 at 14:29.
After that, I receive “About my sister.” I read the email to get the “Cruel Sister” achievement.
There are also calls from Mayuri and Kurisu during this chapter. If I ignore either call, I get the “Identity of Complete Isolation” achievement. I can make a save before ignoring the call, get the achievement, then reload and answer the call if I want to see the additional scene.
If I answer Mayuri’s call, I get an extra scene with Mayuri and Faris. If I answer Kurisu’s call, she joins me at the Yanabashi Shrine.
Chapter 3
There are no quick achievements or important choices here if I am following this guide. However, if I am going for “Froggy Fad Demise,” I need to get the first email for that achievement in this chapter. I cover it later in the dedicated achievement section.
When Daru calls, I can answer to get a scene with Daru and Mayuri, or ignore the call to get a scene with Kurisu.
I finish the chapter to receive the “Butterfly Effect’s Divergence” achievement.
Chapter 4
Suzuha sends me an email titled “Akihabara’s.” I reply with “peaceful.” Later, I read her reply to get the “Warrior Girl’s Pride” achievement.
I can also get the “Discontinuous Qualia” achievement by replying to Kurisu’s emails correctly.
- “Report” – I reply to “Did you write it?”
- “Cup noodles” – I reply to “Please?”
- “Favor to ask” – I read this email to get the achievement.
I do not need to reply to “Favor to ask” for the achievement.
For the “Cat’s Tea Time” achievement, I reply to Faris’s emails as follows:
- “He.” – I reply to “Sign of increasing misfortune.”
- “NyanNyanian” – I reply to “About abilities.”
- I read “Cat tongue nya” to get the achievement.
I also get the “25% CG Achievement” after reaching 25% of the game’s CGs.
Chapter 5
At the beginning of the chapter, Faris calls me. If I answer, I get an additional scene with Faris. If I ignore the call, I get an additional scene with Mayuri.
When Mayuri sends me an email titled “What made me happy today,” I make a save before replying.
First, I reply with “cosplay.” Mayuri replies with “The reason.” I read the email to get the “Passions Best Forgotten” achievement.
I then reload my save and reply to the same email with “Fubuki-chan and Kaede-chan.” Mayuri replies with “Huh?” Reading this email gives me the “Princesses of Chaos” achievement.
Chapter 6
At the beginning of the chapter, I have the option to call Mayuri. If I do nothing, I get an extra scene instead. Later, I also get another choice to call Mayuri or Lukako for an additional scene.
At another point, I can call Kurisu, Mayuri, or Daru. Calling one of them gives me an extra scene with that character. If I do nothing, I get a scene with Suzuha.
At the end of the chapter, I reach the first major ending choice. I make a save here and choose not to send the D-Mail to reach Suzuha’s ending. This gives me the “Irreversible Reboot” achievement.
After getting the ending, I load my save and send the D-Mail to continue the story. Completing the chapter gives me the “Metaphysics Necrosis” achievement.
I also get the “50% CG Achievement” after reaching 50% of the game’s CGs.
Chapter 7
Later in the chapter, Kurisu calls me. If I answer, I get a scene with Kurisu. If I ignore the call, I get a scene with Faris.
At the end of the chapter, I make another save before the D-Mail choice. I choose not to send the D-Mail to reach Faris’s ending and get the “Isolated Jamais Vu” achievement.
After finishing the ending, I load my save and send the D-Mail this time to continue to Chapter 8. Finishing the chapter gives me the “Made in Complex” achievement.
Chapter 8
Chapter 8 is fairly straightforward, with the important choice appearing at the end. I make a save before choosing whether to call the PhoneWave.
First, I choose not to call the PhoneWave to reach Lukako’s ending. This gives me the “Link of Corruption and Rebirth” achievement.
I then load my save and call the PhoneWave to continue to Chapter 9. This gives me the “Fractal Androgynous” achievement.
Chapter 9
I continue through the chapter normally. Later, I get the option to call the PhoneWave or do nothing. If I do nothing, I get an extra scene where Kurisu calls me. I answer her call for another scene. Later, when Kurisu calls again, I ignore her to get an additional scene with Moeka.
At the end of the chapter, I make a save before the D-Mail choice. I choose not to send the D-Mail to reach Moeka’s ending and get the “Hide in Darkness” achievement.
After that, I load my save and send the D-Mail to continue to Chapter 10. Finishing the chapter gives me the “Endless Apoptosis” achievement.
I also get the “75% CG Achievement” after reaching 75% of the game’s CGs.
Chapter 10
If I followed the previous chapters of this guide, Chapter 10 leads me to Mayuri’s ending. Completing it gives me the “Stardust Sky” achievement.
Reaching Kurisu’s Ending and the True Ending
There are two endings left at this point: Kurisu’s ending and the True Ending. I need Kurisu’s true ending flags to reach them. There are 6 flags in total. Getting the first 5 flags leads me to Kurisu’s ending, while getting all 6 leads me to the True Ending.
First True Ending Flag – Chapter 4
I load Chapter 4 and start from the beginning. If I did not keep a normal save, I use one of the quick saves created at the start of each chapter.
When Kurisu sends me “Did you write it?”, I reply with the following choices:
- “Scientist.”
- “Bad scientist.” – Reply to “Scientist? ?”
- “Dad joke” – Reply to “Bad scientist.”
- “Outsider.” – Reply to “Home Alone.”
- “Disgrace.” – Reply to “Ehhh?”
- “Why am I still here?” – Reply to “Staring at my hand.”
After these replies, Kurisu sends “Being here.” I read it to get the first True Ending Flag and the “Genius Girl’s Melancholy” achievement.
Second True Ending Flag – Chapter 5
I continue to Chapter 5 until Kurisu sends an email titled “Plans.” I reply with “Traveling expenses.”
Later, I receive “Idiot!” I simply read it. After some time, I receive “( ´ · ω · `).” I read this email to get the second True Ending Flag.
Third True Ending Flag – Chapter 7
I continue to Chapter 7 until Kurisu sends “The key (ノД `).” I reply with the following choices:
- “I don’t have a key.”
- “Security.” – Reply to “( ° д ° ).”
- “Reality.” – Reply to “You’re delusional, I know.”
Later, I receive “Reality.” I read it to get the third True Ending Flag.
Fourth True Ending Flag – Chapter 8
In Chapter 8, Kurisu sends an email titled “Explain yourself!” I reply to it. There is only one reply option.
Later, Kurisu sends “From an unpopular girl.” I read the email to get the fourth True Ending Flag.
Fifth True Ending Flag – Chapter 9
Near the end of Chapter 9, Kurisu sends “Contact me, idiot!” I reply with “Worried.”
Kurisu later replies with “Re: Re: Contact me, idiot!” I read it to get the fifth True Ending Flag.
Kurisu’s Ending
I now have 5 True Ending Flags, so I continue to Chapter 10.
During Chapter 10, Kurisu sends an email titled “Where are you now?” I make a save before dealing with this email. I ignore it to avoid getting the sixth flag and reach Kurisu’s ending.
Completing Kurisu’s ending gives me the “Paradox Meltdown” achievement.
True Ending
After finishing Kurisu’s ending, I load the save I made when Kurisu sent “Where are you now?”
This time, I reply with “Where you are.” This gives me the sixth True Ending Flag.
I continue through Chapter 10 normally. The credits will roll just like they did during Kurisu’s ending, but I do not stop there. The game continues into the True Ending after the credits.
Completing the True Ending gives me the “Open the Steins Gate” achievement. If I have completed all previous endings, I also get the “All Worldlines Complete” achievement.
After unlocking all CGs, I get the “100% CG Achievement.”
After the credits, there is also a short after-credits epilogue. If I have filled the Observer tab to 100%, I wait on the black screen for about a minute after the credits to trigger the additional secret scene.
Identity of Complete Isolation
For this achievement, I simply ignore a phone call. There are several opportunities throughout the game. For example, I have two opportunities in Chapter 2 and another two in Chapter 7.
If I still do not have the achievement, I load a save from one of these chapters and ignore the call.
Message of Oblivion
I get this achievement by ignoring an email and then either finishing the chapter or changing the worldline so the email is never read.
The easiest way I use for this is to load a Chapter 6 save or later and ignore all emails while skipping through the chapter until I reach the ending.
Froggy Fad Demise
For this achievement, I need to reply correctly to several emails to collect all of the Gero Froggy wallpapers.
First Batch – Chapter 3
In Chapter 3, Lukako sends me an email titled “About Frogs.” I reply with “Gero Froggies.”
Lukako then sends “More news about the frogs.” I open the attachment and view all of the wallpapers.
Second Batch – Chapter 7
For the second batch, I need the first and second True Ending Flags. I load the appropriate save and continue until Kurisu sends “The key (ノД `).” I make a save here because I need to return to this email later.
I first reply with “I don’t have a key.”
When Kurisu replies with “( ° д ° ).”, I reply with “Frog.”
I then receive “Gero Froggy.” I open the attachments and view all of the wallpapers.
Third Batch – Chapter 7
I reload the save from “The key (ノД `)” and take the other route this time.
- “Home” – I reply to “The key (ノД `).”
- “Hyahha.” – I reply to “Home.”
- “I’m gonna give it to you straight.” – I reply to “GOGOGOGOGOGO.”
Later, I receive “Blazing Heart.” I open the attachment and view the remaining Gero Froggy wallpapers. This gives me the “Froggy Fad Demise” achievement.
Hero of RaiNet
For this achievement, I need to collect all 13 RaiNet episode summaries. They are spread across 5 emails from different characters throughout the game.
First RaiNet Email – Chapter 1
In Chapter 1, Mayuri sends me “Upa…”. I reply with “Upa” and then reply to the next email with “Kakeru-kun.”
Mayuri then sends “It’s interesting.” I open the attachments and read all of the summaries to get the first batch.
Second RaiNet Email – Chapter 3
In Chapter 3, Faris sends me “PHANTASM is the cat’s meow.” I reply with “Theme Song.”
Faris replies with “RaiNet OP 2.” I reply with “RaiNet Kakeru.”
I then receive “RaiNet Ep. 13.” I open the attachment and go through all of the pages to collect the next summaries.
Remaining RaiNet Emails – Chapter 4
I continue to Chapter 4 for the remaining summaries.
Mayuri first sends “Speaking of lotteries.” I reply with “Magazine.”
She replies with “Going out? Lelele.” I reply with “Crunchy-kun.”
Mayuri then sends “About Luka-chan.” I reply with “Kakeru-kun.”
Finally, I receive “Kakeru-kun.” I open the attachment and read all of the summaries.
The fourth RaiNet summary is straightforward. Lukako sends me “About RaiNet,” and I open the attachment containing the episode summaries.
The final RaiNet email comes from Faris and is titled “Sign of increasing misfortune.” I reply with the following choices:
- “He.”
- “Chinchilla Start.” – Reply to “About abilities.”
- “Ep 8.” – Reply to “Re:Re:Ep. 8.”
Faris then sends “About Ep 8.” I open the attachment and go through all of the pages to collect the final RaiNet summaries.
